The area of the future campus is located between Solnicki Forest and Zwierzyniec and its southern part of a gardening complex creating one of the biggest garden-urban foundations in the 18th century Poland. The idea of the spatial concept of the campus was an integration with Zwierzyniec’s composition- a part of city’s urban structure. This side became a location place of the main entrances, driveways, facades, urban openings and pedestrian communication connections. Glass facades enable observing Zwierzyniec’s greenery and the city’s panorama. It will also become a silent zone. Because the Ciolkowskiego Street is going to be a part of the second bypass, we minimized the campus’ opening on this area.
Resulting from the urban conception, spatial building arrangement creates a simple and clear functional plan. From the front, building is subordinated strictly to pedestrian promenade- the main compositional axis. From the other side, the line of buildings was a bit soften through the differences of pitches to the main axis, minimizing the height and diversified lengths of the buildings. Dynamic composition was strengthen with the material used on the elevations- glass.
