The estate has got a quite common flaw– it’s narrow and the access route is located from the southern side. In consultation we the investor, we chose the variant of a house moved away from the street and open to the south sun, the requirement was the shortest drive to a built-in garage.
The house consists of two rectangular parts: the ground floor and the first floor. The elongated solid of the ground floor is situated perpendicularly to the route. From the street side, the building contains a garage, technical rooms, an entrance, a kitchen and in the end, a dining room with large glass walls opening on the back garden. The cube containing the bedrooms was separated from the street, protecting interior from the noise and providing the southern sunlight. Beneath the suspended part of the upper building we placed glazed living room. The insides of the ground floor were provided with the light by an additional skylight above the stairs. The solids are differentiated by the materials: ground floor was covered with the ceramic brick and the first floor was lined with wood.
